Probable Inactivity Incoming

Eh, or maybe I'm already kinda inactive. Whatever. Anyway...

I don't know if anyone's heard of the new game on the web that's spreading quickly thanks to Notch, the maker of Minecraft, tweeting about it.

Yeah, I'm one of its beta testers and I'm way wrapped in in what's happening with it. Inactivity is very likely, so if that's the case, then see you all later. ;)

It looks fun, but i'm seriously getting sick of people making building/mining games all of a sudden just because of Minecraft.
This isn't like FotressCraft though, thank god.

This isn't related to minecraft you fgh.

It's mining, but if you start mining to early like you do in Minecraft, then I guarantee you're screwed.
You can complain for 5 minutes about how this game is similar to Minecraft but you can also marvel for 30 minutes at the differences between this and minecraft.

I wasn't trying to say it was just like it, because it isn't. It's 2D and obviously has way more to it. The thing is, the blocks and building and mining were also quite obviously inspired by Minecraft, and i'm seeing a lot more games like that lately. It's not a rip-off but it isn't innovative.

It is not inspired by Minecraft. At all. And saying so is horribly misguided.

You can't say that for the creator. It very well may be. The core game mechanics are undeniably similar. Hell, it even looks a lot like MapleStory. I'm sorry you don't want this game compared to another, more popular one, but it happens.
Again, I think it looks fun, i'm not bashing it, so let's stop before this gets uncivil.

Well, don't know how many people on this forum like Notch. He's the maker of Minecraft, and he got the game a lot of fans via Twitter.

Also, I know very well the game's inspiration is not Minecraft as I chat with its maker a lot.
